You Say That This Is the Best Steakhouse in Boston
Drumroll, please. The Five Days of Meat reader poll has spoken: Abe & Louie’s is the best steakhouse in town. Congratulations also go to the runner-up, Smith & Wollensky, and all the outstanding steakhouses that were part of the poll. Competition was fierce and races were close, and the bottom line is that Boston’s a solid steak town.
Abe & Louie’s opened in Back Bay in 1965, and these days, it’s part of the Tavistock group, which includes Atlantic Fish Co., Joe’s American Bar & Grill, and several other restaurants and small regional chains across the country. Abe & Louie’s also has a sister location down in Boca Raton, Florida. On the menu, aside from steak: lobster Savannah and lobster casserole, a lamb porterhouse, “jumbo” baked potatoes, and more.
